Sole S73 Treadmill Review

Over the years Sole have built up a reputation for building great quality treadmills that really deliver fantastic value within the $1,000 to $2,000 price bracket. Sole’s background lies in producing treadmills for use in national hotel chains, so they certainly know a thing or two about making solid units. And while a Sole machine may not have all of the latest ‘all singing, all dancing’ extras that other units feature, you are sure to get tremendous reliability and value for money. The S73 follows this reputation by delivering the kind of workout you’d expect from a treadmill that cost much more.

The S73 is very similar to the folding version, the F83. You still get the same build quality and many of the same features, but you get it for a little cheaper. If you’re looking to save money rather than space, this is a viable alternative to the folding model. In addition, you get a more stable feel to the non-folding treadmills since there are fewer moving parts to wobble around when you run. Contributing to that solid feel is the weight of the treadmills itself. At a hefty 250 pounds, it is extremely stable even when you get moving pretty quick.

The S73 features the 2.75 inch rollers that have become synonymous with Sole machines. These are thicker than standard, and are slower to wear down meaning that your treadmill lasts much, much longer. The 58 inch belt is long enough for everyone except the very tallest runners, and is powered by a 3 HP motor. As you would expect from Sole, there is a very comprehensive lifetime warranty on the frame and motor, while the major parts are covered for 5 years, and there is even a 2 year labor warranty too.

The Sole S73 still has some very tough competition, but interestingly enough it comes from Sole as well. All treadmills fall into a certain niche, but with Sole that niche is very small. While it is easy to recommend this model for a well-built and solid treadmill, there are other great models with very similar prices to the S73.

If you are set on Sole, you should check out all of their models and make sure you are getting the one that is just right for you. All things considered, however, the S73 is yet another solid and reliable model from Sole that probably has a place in your home.
